Certified Copy of a Florida Birth Certificate
Our office issues certified copies of FL Birth Certificates.
Due to a temporary outage as the result of a software upgrade with the Florida Department of Health’s Bureau of Vital Statistics, our Tax Collector office is temporarily unable to issue birth certificates. In the interim, all county health departments and the State Office are happy to assist the public with obtaining birth certificates. Please visit their websites for more information on ordering certificates online or picking up from any of the available locations.
When service is restored, as a partner of the Florida Department of Health’s Bureau of Vital Statistics, Florida-born citizens are able to get a certified copy of their birth certificate at our Brandon, Downtown, Drew Park, North Tampa, Plant City and Southshore offices.
This partnership makes the process much easier, because a birth certificate is one of the items needed in obtaining a driver license or identification card.
